HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will reopen the Picket Nala, SP bridge on Friday after remodelling it to avoid flooding during torrential downpours in the city. The remodelling project cost Rs 10 crores and will be inaugurated on Friday by Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Cinematography Srinivas Yadav.

The majority of the colonies in the Begumpet area were inundated during the 2020 monsoon due to a bottleneck on Picket nala near Karachi bakery on S.P Road.
