Stephen Ravindra asks cops to leverage mobile apps to prevent crimes
Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra directed the policemen to take measures to prevent incidence of crimes
HYDERABAD: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra on Tuesday directed the policemen to take measures to prevent incidence of crimes. The Cyberabad CP, along with crimes DCP Kalmeshwar Singhanwar and PSIOC ACP Ravinder, conducted a review meeting on 'Crime Analytics and Reports' with DCPs, ACPs, SHOs, DIs, SIs, DSIs, Patrol Mobile, CCS, Crimes staff of all Police Stations of all the zones under the jurisdiction of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.
He discussed with the officials the various parameters such as crime analysis, prevention of crimes, conduct of patrols and other issues to reduce the crimes in the city.
In the meeting held, the commissioner directed the police officials to ensure that the steps were taken to prevent crimes from happening by responding swiftly, registering the cases and filing the FIR in time. The commissioner briefed the policemen on how to identify crime-prone areas and accident-prone areas and what measures to be taken to prevent crime using various mobile applications.
Stephen Ravindra said that the Telangana government had established a special department called Crime Analytics and Reports Wing which would analyze the crimes and send a report to each police station. The police stations will have to take controlling measures based on the report.
The Crimes DCP Kalmeshwar Singhanwar, Madhapur DCP Shilpavalli, Balanagar DCP Sandeep, Shamshabad DCP Jagadishwar Reddy, ACPs, Inspectors, DIs, SIs and other police officials participated in this meeting.
