Ticket sales begin for India’s first-ever Formula E race in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The ticket sales for the first-ever ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race to be held in Hyderabad on February 11, began on Wednesday. Telangana Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar, along with Akbar Ebrahim, President of Federation of Motor Sports clubs, India launched the ticket sales at an event in Hyderabad.

A press release by Ace Nxt Gen, the official promoter of the Formula E Race in India said, “World’s fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric race car - Gen 3 is coming to Hyderabad on Saturday (February 11) in the first-ever ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race in India.”

Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao said, “I believe sustainable mobility is the future and Hyderabad will lead this charge from the front. Motorsport fans from across the world can now book tickets to witness the race and also explore Hyderabad.”

Arvind Kumar said, “Hyderabad is proud to welcome everyone to the first-ever Formula E World Championship to be held in India. We are now among the few cities in the world to host the event which will help project Hyderabad as the best-chosen global destination for E-mobility and related manufacturing.”

Private firm Ace Nxt Gen is the official promoter of the Formula E Race in India in partnership with Formula E and the Telangana government. The tickets, prices of which range from Rs 1,000 to 10,000, are available on the website of the e-platform BookMyShow. A total of 11 teams with 22 cars will be racing at the event.
