TSRTC buses inauguration: Traffic curbs around Tank Bund on Dec. 24

HYDERABAD: Traffic diversions have been imposed by the Hyderabad traffic police on December 24, 2022, from 12pm to 5pm, in connection with the inauguration of TSRTC's new super luxury buses at Upper Tank Bund in Hyderabad.

Traffic diversions and restrictions will be made, if required as per the local situation

  • Traffic from Ranigunj to Upper Tankbund would be prohibited and diverted at the Sailing Club to Kavadiguda X Roads and DBR Mills.
  • Traffic from Liberty to Upper Tankbund would be diverted at the Ambedkar statue to Telugu Thalli and Iqbal Minar.
  • Traffic from Telugu Thalli to Upper Tank Band would be prohibited and diverted at the Ambedkar statue to Liberty, Himayath Nagar.
  • Traffic from Musheerabad X Roads to Upper Tankbund would be prohibited and diverted at Kavadiguda X Roads to Lower Tankbund.
  • Traffic from DBR Mills to Upper Tankbund will be prohibited and would be diverted at DBR Mills to Gosala - Kavadiguda - Jabbar Complex - Bible House.
  • Traffic from Iqbal Minar to Upper Tankbund would be diverted at Old Secretariat to Telugu Thalli Flyover and then to Lower Tankbund.

Traffic congestion areas to be avoided

The Hyderabad traffic police have requested that citizens avoid the following intersections where traffic congestion is expected.

  • Upper Tankbund
  • Ambedkar Statue
  • Telugu Thalli Junction
  • Liberty
  • V.V Statue

Bus Routes

  • Buses travelling from Secunderabad to Hyderabad on Upper Tankbund are asked to use Lower Tankbund instead from 12pm to 5pm on December 24,2022.

The Hyderabad traffic police have requested that people take note of the above detours and traffic jams and take alternate routes to their destinations. The traffic diversions/ closures of roads would be removed/opened after the conclusion of the programme.
