It has been a long time since we saw a full-length film against the backdrop of Naxalism in Telugu cinema. After all these years, Virata Parvam is coming with such a subject. Directed by Venu Udugula, this movie features Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.

Virata Parvam is a love story set against the backdrop of Naxalism. The story takes place in Telangana during the 1990s. A girl named Vennela (Sai Pallavi) falls for the writings of Naxalite Ravanna (Rana). Their love story forms the major crux of the film.

Venu praised the way how Sai Pallavi got into the skin of Vennela. Speaking in a recent interview, he said, "While explaining a scene, I told Sai Pallavi that Vennela starves for two days when she is undergoing a turmoil. To play the scene with authenticity, Sai Pallavi literally starved for two days."

The director was stunned by the dedication of the Fidaa actress and stated that she had given an award-worthy performance in the movie. Virata Parvam is slated for worldwide release on June 17. Priyamani, Zarina Wahab, Nanditha Das, and Naveen Chandra played the other pivotal roles in it.
