Commitment led to prosperity, TS is full of talent, says KCR

JAGITYAL: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, on Wednesday, said that the Telangana State was full of committed and talented people, who together had been working from eight years to make Telangana the best State in the country.

"Our GSDP is the highest in the country, we are the only State providing free electricity and drinking water to everyone. There is greenery everywhere. Irrigation is being done. All this is possible not just because of me or one party, it is possible because of the collective efforts of everyone," KCR said, after inaugurating the new Integrated District Offices Complex in Jagtial.

He said that the IDOCs, which were being established in every district, were an example of how well the State's administration was working. He said that the IDOCs were being established so that each district's problems could be discussed and solved from the districts itself, by people who know and understand the region.

KCR also laid the foundation for a medical college in Jagtial, which would be constructed with a budget of Rs 108 crore. He said that Telangana was the only State to have a medical college in each of its districts.

The Chief Minister said, "Even though Telangana is the youngest State of India, the salaries that are being given are the highest. From a mere amount of Rs 200, even as a newly formed State, we decided to increase the pension amount to Rs 1,000 which has now become Rs 2,016. In 2014, when we got Telangana as a separate State, we didn't have proper economy and finance system, we were extremely drought-prone and had no drinking water or electricity. However, with constant effort and commitment we were able to put everything into place. We have the ability, talent and resources to make Telangana one of the best places in the world."
