HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao criticised the Congress government under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for the increasing number of farmers' suicides, particularly after three farmers reportedly took their lives in one day.

In a tweet, KTR blamed the government for the crisis in agriculture, citing lack of irrigation water, delayed loan waivers, and insufficient support under the Rythu Bharosa scheme as key issues. He accused the government of failing to support both landowning and tenant farmers, claiming that essential policies were being withdrawn, worsening the farmers' plight.

KTR expressed concern over the hardship faced by hundreds of farmers, stating that there has been no response from the government to address their struggles. He urged farmers to remain strong, assuring them that the crisis would pass. He warned that CM Revanth would face consequences for turning agriculture into a source of suffering, particularly during the festive season of Dasara.
