MULUGU: A recreational trip ended in tragedy as a young man went missing while swimming at Kongala Waterfall in Mulugu district.
The missing individual has been identified as B. Abhinav, a 17-year-old B.Tech first-year student from Anurag University, Ghatkesar. He is originally from Mancherial district.
According to initial reports, Abhinav visited Kongala Waterfall with a group of friends for leisure. During the visit, he decided to swim in the waterfall but unfortunately went missing under unclear circumstances. The incident took place in Vajedu Mandal of Mulugu district, where the powerful waters seemed to have overwhelmed the young swimmer.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Vajedu police reached the spot and immediately began search operations to locate Abhinav. However, no significant developments have been reported so far, and the search is ongoing.
The incident has left Abhinav's friends and family deeply distressed, as they await any news regarding his whereabouts. Authorities have cautioned visitors about the potential dangers of swimming in natural water bodies like waterfalls, especially during periods of increased water flow.
