Revanth Reddy lays foundation stone for Young India Skill University

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Young India Skill University on Thursday.

In his speech, Revanth Reddy highlighted the state government's ambitious plans to develop the region and provide employment opportunities for the youth. "The establishment of the Young India Skill University is a significant step towards this goal. The government has also envisioned the creation of a new city as part of this development initiative. To support the development of this new city, the government plans to create essential facilities in education, healthcare, and employment," the Chief Minister stated.

The foundation stones were laid for several key facilities, including the Advanced Technology Center, Modern School, Primary Health Center, and Community Center.

Infrastructure developments include the construction of a 200-feet road from the university to the airport and the availability of Metro Rail facilities. Revanth Reddy also mentioned the development of the Outer Ring Road by former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh. He noted that the state government, under the leadership of R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, was constructing a Regional Ring Road (RRR), with work set to commence in three months.

Revanth Reddy emphasised the importance of education and irrigation, recalling India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's priorities. He noted that the Congress party had previously lifted Godavari and Krishna waters to Hyderabad to meet drinking water needs.

"The Skill University will offer skill development training to thousands of youth, providing them with professional certificates. Many companies have already committed to offering jobs along with training. Admission to the university will guarantee employment for the youth. The government is planning for future generations, aiming to transform the entire area into a future city, surpassing even New York. Plans include the development of a health tourism hub and a sports hub," the Chief Minister explained.

Revanth Reddy assured that families who lost their land for this project would receive reasonable compensation, ensuring a secure future.
