Sub-Inspector attempts suicide by ingesting insecticide

MAHABUBABAD: A sub-inspector attempted suicide by ingesting insecticide in Mahabubabad district.

The sub-inspector, Srinivas, serving at Ashwaraopet police station in Bhadradari Kothagudem, went missing on Sunday morning. He was found within the agricultural market limits, where he had ingested the pesticide and subsequently called for an ambulance. Medical staff promptly shifted him to the district hospital, but due to his critical condition, he was later transferred to a hospital in Warangal for better treatment.

His family reported him missing when he did not return home, prompting a search by both the police and his family members. The reason behind his drastic action remains unknown.
