Bojadla Prabhakar died by suicide after consuming pesticides, alleging land grabbing by individuals associated with Congress leaders close to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. Prabhakar accused Kurapati Kishore and other Congress leaders of destroying his farmland using heavy machinery. Despite lodging complaints with Tehsildar Ramesh and Sub-Inspector Sheikh Nagulmira, no action was taken.

Prabhakar had visited the Collectorate on Monday to meet the District Collector but was told he was late. In his frustration, he consumed the pesticide. Prabhakar claimed 3 acres and 10 guntas of his 7-acre land were destroyed.

He was found unconscious near a mango grove in Khammam. Passersby alerted his family, but Prabhakar succumbed before reaching the hospital. His body was moved to Khammam Government Hospital for postmortem. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
