Four family members die in house collapse in Nagarkurnool

NAGARKURNOOL: Four members of a family died when their house collapsed in Vanapattu, Nagarkurnool mandal, following heavy rainfall on Sunday night. Another family member was seriously injured.

The house, belonging to Gudugu Bhaskar, collapsed due to the intense rain. Padma, who was sleeping inside, along with her two daughters, Tejaswini (6) and Vasantha (9), and son Rithvik, died on the spot. Bhaskar, the father, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the government hospital by local residents.

Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene. They removed the debris and shifted the bodies to the district hospital for post-mortem. Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) and Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) inspected the collapse site.
