HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has criticised the Congress party for its double standards regarding the boycott of the NITI Aayog meeting.

In a post on micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), KTR pointed out that when the then Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao boycotted a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in protest against the central government's stance towards Telangana, the Congress party condemned the move and accused KCR of colluding with the BJP. KTR questioned what the Congress has to say now that Revanth Reddy himself has announced a boycott of the NITI Aayog meeting.

KTR further questioned why Revanth Reddy, as the current Chief Minister, is not willing to meet with Prime Minister Modi to discuss the injustices faced by Telangana in the central budget.

"When CM KCR was boycotting meetings with PM for rightful issues concerning Telangana’s pride, Congress had issues & accused us of collusion etc., Now what will Congress say when Revanth Reddy is himself boycotting Niti Ayog meeting? Why does younger brother not want to meet PM and speak for Budget issues pertaining to the state?" KTR said in his Tweet.
